Ronaldo 980 Goals
One stance, six shirts, one career. Cristiano Ronaldo’s story told through the gesture everyone recognises, for one of the most followed sports journalists in the world.
The brief.
Tell the story of Cristiano Ronaldo’s road to 1,000 goals in 25 seconds, in the feed of an audience that watches football all day long. It had to be recognisable in an instant and hold its own next to real match footage.
The idea.
A single stance: the wide-legged pose before a free kick, which every fan recognises even from behind. We repeat it shirt after shirt, with the same framing: time passes on the player, not on the scene.
The ending is a counter on black: from 0 to 980 out of 1,000. The number does the rest.

How we made it.
- Face and body consistent across twenty years of career, from the young Sporting player to the national team captain.
- One locked shot: stadium, fog, wall and light identical in every shirt, so the eye only notices what changes.
- Shirts, numbers and details true to every era, from the 28 at Sporting to the 7.
- Cut to the rhythm, with a black ending built for the loop.
The result.
